CaNeed understands that our users are concerned about how personal information is collected and used. Please be assured that we take privacy very seriously and are committed to safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect from users of CaNeed and the CaNeed website located at www.caneed.com ("Web site") and how this information may be used. By accessing the Web site, you agree to the policies and practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
Information Gathered and Published to Social Networking Sites. We collect information from the social networking site or sites you specify (e.g., Facebook) when you ask or answer a question using CaNeed. The specific information we collect may vary by site, but by providing login information for a particular social networking site you authorize CaNeed to collect all available information from that site. CaNeed will use this information to provide the web site services and to communicate with you by email regarding your account. CaNeed may also use your name and email address to send you promotional information unless you have opted out of receiving such information. If you wish to opt-out of receiving promotional emails, please send a request to support@caneed.com from your account email address with the words opt out in the subject line.
Internet Protocol Address. We also collect and store the Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses of individuals that visit our Web site. An IP address provides general statistical information, such as browsing activity, areas of greatest interest on the Web site and other basic information that we will use for system administration. We use such information to make our Web site more interesting and useful to you. We do not combine this type of information with personally identifiable information. However, if necessary, we will combine this information with personally identifiable information to identify a visitor in order to enforce compliance with our User Agreement and other policies and guidelines governing use of CaNeed.
Cookies. We may use small text files called cookies to improve your overall Web site experience. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user's hard drive containing information about the user. Cookies generally do not permit us to personally identify you.
Children. CaNeed is not designed for children or persons under the age of 18, and we do not target these persons for our services, nor do we knowingly or intentionally collect personally identifiable information from them.
Information Sharing
CaNeed will not provide your personally identifiable information to any third party for marketing purposes. We will only share your personally identifiable information with third parties to carry out your instructions as part of CaNeed. We do, however, provide aggregated data that is not personally identifiable with you to third parties for various purposes. Additionally, CaNeed may from time to time partner with other online services and provide you the option of obtaining the benefits these other services offer. It is your choice whether to make use of these services, and your personally identifiable information will only be shared with a partner if you choose to use the partner's service.
CaNeed will update your profile on the social networking sites you choose. By providing login information for a social networking site you authorize CaNeed to update your profile on that social networking site on your behalf. To revoke this privilege, consult that site's documentation.
CaNeed may disclose personally identifiable information when required to do so by law or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights or a third party's rights, for example, in response to a court order, a subpoena, a request by a law enforcement agency or to respond to claims that any content violates the right of third parties.
Updating Information
CaNeed may retain any and all data contributed by you if it we believe it may be necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse, if required by law or for other legitimate business purposes, such as analysis of aggregated data.
Security
The Web site has reasonable security procedures and practices in place to protect against the unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure of information under our control. Our Web site may contain links to other Internet web sites that are not operated or controlled by us. We cannot control and are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other web sites.

CaNeed may change the terms of this Privacy Policy at any time and in its sole discretion by posting the modified Privacy Policy on the Web site. The modifications shall be effective upon posting (unless some other date is specified in the posting, in which case that date shall be deemed the effective date for the modifications). You should review this Privacy Policy periodically so that you are aware of any modifications. Your use of CaNeed indicates your full acceptance of this Privacy Policy in its then-current form each time you use CaNeed.
